chamber-music-intensive

With an emphasis on teamwork, Chamber Music Intensive offers inspiration and the opportunity to develop co-leadership skills and artistic potential. Students will explore a variety of styles and genres of music and compositional voices from around the world.

Join the Cavani String Quartet for a lively semester of chamber music! Each semester will consist of eight hour-long coaching sessions with a member of the Quartet, a performance class and/or a chamber music rehearsal technique seminar, and guest artist classes with renowned and internationally respected chamber musicians.

Each CMI session culminates in a concert open to friends, family and the public. Whenever possible, student ensembles will have an opportunity to perform and interact with the regional and local community at venues such as senior living centers, art museums, and local restaurant and shopping districts.

Open to violin, viola, cello, bass, woodwinds, and piano. Preformed groups are strongly encouraged. Ensembles and individuals are selected by the Cavani Quartet through audition and in collaboration with ensemble directors.

Prerequisite: All new students must complete a placement audition.
