Arts & Play - Music Therapy Group - 2 Day - (2017 - 2018)

ARTS N PLAY, co-led by an Early Childhood teacher and Board Certified Music Therapist, offers twice weekly group play experiences to strengthen behavioral, social, and communication skills as developmentally appropriate. Children with special needs will have opportunities to bridge with peers who are typically developing. The program's unique music therapy component supports and reinforces these skills and the curriculum through specific music therapy experiences such as musical games, instrument play, and singing. The curriculum is designed to develop and support concepts in a classroom setting. Criteria for acceptance include identification of a special need, provision of an IEP or professional evaluation (s), and completion of an initial assessment with our staff. Admission takes place throughout the year. Children with special needs will have opportunities to bridge with peers who are typically developing. Returning students can register online.
