What is Music Therapy?
Within the context of therapeutic relationships, The Settlement’s
Board-Certified music therapists systematically and prescriptively use
music-based interventions to impact the lives of children and adults
facing a wide range of life’s challenges through building on the
foundations of their unique gifts and abilities, developing or
strengthening interpersonal connections, reaching individualized goals
and improving the quality of their lives.
Become a Peer Model
Our Department of Music Therapy incorporates "typically developing" children, teens and adults within our individual, partner and group sessions for purposes of providing excellent role models for social, speech and language skills.
