Chamber Music Camp (PM) (Summer 2017)

Jun. 19 to Jun 30, 2017: Chamber Music Campers (ages 11-18) will be placed in small ensembles according to age and experience. They will spend time collaborating with professional musicians and TMS faculty members to prepare chamber pieces for the camp's final concert. This camp can be paired with the morning Orchestra Camp or other morning sessions to create a full day musical experience. Inlet Dance Summer Dance Intensive 2017

Inlet Dance Theatre’s Summer Dance Intensive ‘17 (SDI ‘17) is an aggressive six and a half week training program for ages twelve through young adult. The SDI ‘17 focuses on increasing technical skill sets, collaborative creative process, performing improvisation and repertory. Campers build experience and skills in music, drama and dance in a variety of genres, strengthen confidence, creativity and caring. An original production will be shared in a final performance for friends and family. Campers will enjoy weekly special events such as guest artists, performances or field trips. Music Builders Camp I - After Care (3-5pm) (Summer 2017)

Jun. 19 to Jun. 30, 2017: For parents unable to pick up their child from the Music Builders Camp at 3:00 p.m., The Music Settlement offers childcare between the hours of 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Aftercare is available for the entire camp session (advance reservations required), or for $12.00 a day on an as-needed basis. *Please note: this course (8310) is for the After Care option ONLY (3-5pm). To participate in this course, you must also enroll in the Music Builders Camp I (9am-3pm) course 8308. Notes: Please note: There is no inclusion camper (camper with special needs) option for after care.

Jun. 19 to Jun. 30, 2017: Parents may drop off their child for Music Builders Camp before 9am using Before Care. Childcare for campers is offered between 8-9am daily for $5.00 on an as-needed basis. To participate in this program, you must also enroll in the Music Builders Camp I. *An After Care (3-5pm) option is also available and requires separate enrollment.

Piano Camp (AM) (Summer 2017)

Jun. 19 to Jun. 30, 2017: The theme for this this year's piano camp is "Musician Families and Friends." Piano campers (ages 9-18) will listen to the music of famous composers. musicians and their families and friends and discover how these relationships influenced Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary styles. Piano Camp will include sessions in music appreciation, theory, and keyboard technique. Students will also participate in individual and partnered lessons, as well as duets and coaching and concluded with a recital presentation of solos and duets prepared by the campers. Rock & Blues Camp (AM) (Summer 2017)

Jun. 19 to Jun. 30, 2017: The Rock & Blues summer camp (ages 11-18) is a modern music experience that encompasses a wide variety of styles, including Classic Rock, Funk, Reggae, Grunge, Folk, and Blues. Campers will take part in a hands-on creative Rock ensemble that will help students take what they have learned and apply it in a group setting. Aspects of this camp will include playing with a group, music theory and ear training, live performance etiquette, songwriting and the history of Rock & Blues. The camp will culminate in a live performance. Auditions are required for all enrollments to make it easier to place students in appropriate groups. Suzuki Camp (Summer 2017)

July 30-Aug. 5, 2017: Students who are currently studying violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar or piano in the Suzuki Method can join The Music Settlement Suzuki faculty and guest clinicians for a week of instruction, motivation and fun! Campers will participate in group classes and special ensembles during camp session. Each student will receive two 30 minute private lessons scheduled after camp hours during the week. Daily recitals will showcase our Suzuki faculty and camp students each day at noon. Suzuki Camp begins on Sunday, July 30th at 3pm. Families will get their weekly schedules, meet teachers, and start the fun! The camp culminates with a Grand Finale Concert on Saturday August 5th at 10 am. Suzuki Camp After Care (3pm-5pm) (Summer 2017)

For parents unable to pick up their child before 5:00pm, The Music Settlement offers aftercare between the hours of 3:00-5:00pm, and is available for the entire camp session. The Suzuki Camp Aftercare option is also available for $10.00 per day on an as-needed basis. Advance reservations required.

Vocal Camp (AM) (Summer 2017)

Jun. 19 to Jun. 30, 2017: Vocal campers (ages 11-18) will gain experience in singing, dancing, and acting by putting their skills to work in an A Cappella group or a Musical Theater Workshop. A Cappella campers will have fun exploring popular and Jazz vocal harmonies in a small, tight-knit singing group and have the opportunity to work on background vocals, blending techniques, harmonizing, and more. Musical Theater performers will work on solo pieces in a Master Class and put together an ensemble piece for the final concert. Everyone will leave camp a better singer, dance and actor!
