Adult Music Theory (Level 2) (Fall 2017)

Whether you sing or play an instrument, here is a fun and easy way to brush up on the fundamentals of music, note reading and rhythmic skills, knowledge of music terminology, intervals, chords, key signatures, scales and more! This course includes ear training, sight singing, melodic and rhythmic dictation, and everything you need to become a better musician!

Begininnng Small Group Instruction (Adult) (Fall 2017)

Beginning Small Group Instruction is available in strings (including ukulele), winds, brass, and piano. During each 15 week session, students will learn fundamentals in a small group setting (2-4 students) that will prepare them for individual private music instruction. The class can be repeated and teachers will help guide student when they are ready for the transition to one on one instruction. This class is offered for beginning adult students (19+). Previous musical experience is not needed. Specific lesson times decided once you are placed. We have some student instruments available. Availability is limited. $165 per 15 week semester.

Have you ever wanted to learn to read music, but never found the time, or thought it might be too hard? It is never too late to put some music in your life. Absolute beginners are welcome! No prior music knowledge is required. Here is your chance to develop basic note-reading skills, discover how to count rhythm patterns, figure out chords, scales and key signatures. Get a working knowledge of music symbols and terminology. Learn the notes on the keyboard and enjoy playing familiar tunes. Whether you have a desire to sing or play an instrument, this is the perfect place to start.

Creative games and fun classroom activities help students develop skills in reading and hearing music. Many students continue taking this class through several sessions for ongoing skill development.

Group Piano Level 1 (Fall 2017)

This class creates a relaxed environment where students are introduced to the piano and learn basics of music theory. A piano or keyboard instrument in the home is required.

Keyboard Explorers (Fall 2017)

Children experiment with improvisation and musical expression through playing at the keyboard, listening, singing, and movement activities. Students will begin to read music and learn basic music theory. Many students continue taking this class through several sessions for ongoing skill development.

Voice For Young Singers - Ages 11 - 14 (Spring 2018)

This class opens up the world of singing for young vocalists. It helps them develop the basics of proper singing technique in a disciplined but enjoyable way. It is an excellent musical introduction before the start of private voice lessons which may begin at age 13 and up.
