The Music Settlement Hires Annie Schwarz as VP for Institutional Advancement

CLEVELAND -March 7, 2018- The Music Settlement (TMS) has hired Anne-Marie (Annie) Schwarz as its VP for Institutional Advancement, effective February 26, 2018.

"The TMS Board of Directors and I unequivocally agree that Annie’s longstanding development background, professional accomplishments, and strong leadership skills made her the standout for this position," said Geri Presti, President and CEO of The Music Settlement.

Mrs. Schwarz is responsible for The Music Settlement’s overall advancement programs.

“I am looking forward to working with Geri, the Board, faculty and The Music Settlement’s community of students and families. Everyone’s energy, passion, and enthusiasm for serving our community with music and arts programming is truly inspiring,” Mrs. Schwarz said.

Mrs. Schwarz comes to The Music Settlement with nearly 15 years of development and marketing and communications experience, mainly in the non-profit sector. She has excelled in several positions, each with increasing scope and responsibility, within the Development & Public Affairs department at Case Western Reserve University’s School of Law, advancing several times during her almost nine-year tenure with CWRU.

Before accepting her role at The Music Settlement, she served as Senior Director of Development & Public Affairs, where she was responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive giving program, including individual major, planned, and special gifts, as well as event and program sponsorship to the CWRU School of Law as part of a $42M capital campaign.

Prior to joining the CWRU School of Law, Mrs. Schwarz served in several marketing and sales positions as the director of marketing and communications for the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers' Association (GCADA), manager of marketing and communications for the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission (GCSC), and account executive for IMG (International Management Group).

A graduate of John Carroll University with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Business Administration, Mrs. Schwarz comes from a large family of native Clevelanders, all of whom are avid fans of Cleveland sports teams. She lives in South Euclid with her husband, Adam, and two young children who both have a love for music.
