The Music Settlement announces new partnership with Mojuba! Dance Collective

Cleveland, Ohio (July 25, 2022) – The Music Settlement (TMS) recently announced a new partnership with the Mojuba! Dance Collective (MDC), an African contemporary dance company in Cleveland. MDC will be providing three unique, professional dance programs at TMS’ University Circle and Ohio City campuses beginning Sept. 28, 2022

“We’re thrilled to be introducing African dance to our community with classes tailored for both children and adults.” said Sydney, Director of Marketing at TMS. “This new offering with MDC will greatly enhance the knowledge, abilities, and experience our students come away with and adds to the range of programming we’re proud to provide.”

The classes include the following:

• “Ballet with a Beat,” a program that combines classical ballet technique with the excitement of African drumming (ages 4-5 and 6-10)
• “Dancing the African Diaspora,” an engaging class that introduces children to the music, movement, and culture of the African Diaspora (ages 4-10)
• “Mojuba! Dance for Adults,” an exciting adult fusion class to dance the stress away, tone the body, and share in the joy of movement (ages 18 and up)

We will also be hosting an outdoor Mojuba! class demonstration in Ohio City’s Market Square Park on August 31, 2022.
