Post Office Theme: Art Invitations
Posted on 04/23/20 by Amanda in Early Childhood
To us, the most exciting part of any themed play is the art projects you can come up with! Remember, art doesn't require any special materials (besides perhaps paint!). Use what you have around the house, get creative with the tools you use and the materials you create with.
Here's a few post office-themed ideas to inspire you:
Cardboard Painting
Cut small pieces of cardboard to use as your canvas. Use shades of blue to decorate with rollers, stamps, brushes, or fingers.
Packing Material Collage
Use packing peanuts, shredded paper, bubble wrap, and packing paper to create one-of-a-kind collages.
Bubble Wrap Painting
Use the bubble wrap as a stamp that you dip in paint or on a stamp pad. Or brush the paint on the bubble wrap and lay your paper on top.
Junk Mail Collage
Challenge your child to find the letters in their name in your junk mail mailers. Have them cut or tear out the letters to develop fine motor skills.
