Bop Stop
BOP STOP at The Music Settlement is Cleveland's premier listening room: an intimate, acoustically pristine performance venue with sweeping views of Lake Erie.

Session Length: 15 Weeks
A fun group theory course for musicians of mixed skill levels.
Topics include intervals, chords, melody writing, harmonizing, ear training, and more - from Bach to The Beatles! Previous musical experience is required.

Linda Allen has been with The Music Settlement for over forty years and served as Registrar from 1978-2012. She previously was a music instructor for the Cleveland Public Schools Supplementary Center for 9 years, and also taught theory at the Cleveland Institute of Music and CWRU. She earned her BM... Linda Allen has been with The Music Settlement for over forty years and served as Registrar from 1978-2012. She previously was a music instructor for the Cleveland Public Schools Supplementary Center for 9 years, and also taught theory at the Cleveland Institute of Music and CWRU.
She earned her BM and MM degrees in composition at CIM, where her major teachers were Arthur Loesser, piano and Marcel Dick, composition. She received many scholarships and awards, including the CIM Bloch Award and the Aspen Music Festival composition prize.
A former long time member of the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and the Robert Page Singers, she is currently organist and choir director at St. James Anglican Catholic Church. She is also a member of the keyboard/percussion section of the Lakeside Summer Symphony and the Cleveland Women's orchestra.
