In October 2024, BOP STOP is turning 10!
We are so grateful for your past support of our beloved performance space and Cleveland’s premiere jazz venue, BOP STOP. We are thrilled to announce that we are excitedly anticipating the 10th anniversary of BOP STOP this October. It was donated to The Music Settlement in 2014, and today BOP STOP offers an astounding 300+ concerts and events every season, reaching approximately 12,000 audience members and engaging 700+ local and national artists.
We will be celebrating this milestone anniversary with a week of performances from October 15 – 20, 2024. Programming will include numerous offerings ranging from innovative jazz, including local and national acts, experimental works and fan favorites. We will hold special anniversary celebrations on Friday and Saturday.
Friday, October 18th we host our 10th Anniversary Party and Jam Session featuring one of Cleveland's favorite's, Hubb’s Groove. On Saturday October, 19th, BOP STOP Director, Bryan Kennard, has organized a performance of the inaugural BOP STOP Big Band featuring 10 new works by composers who have a deep connection to Northeast Ohio and the BOP STOP. We are excited to premiere new compositions by: Aidan Plank, Brad Wagner, Dave Morgan, Stephen Phillip Harvey, Emma Donkin, Shanyse Strickland, Sam Blakeslee, Garrett Folger, Bobby Selvaggio, and Chas Baker. The week will also feature performances by Grammy-Nominated musicians like Nate Wood and Cleveland native John Fedchock.
