Ann began her musical studies on piano at age 8. At age 11, she continued piano studies with Marianne Mastics and began string bass studies with George Wisneskey. In high school she studied string bass with Harry Barnoff at The Cleveland Music School Settlement (dba "The Music Settlement"). She also studied string bass with David Perlman, principal bass for the Cleveland Orchestra and John Schaeffer, principal bass for the New York Philharmonic.
Her classical performance résumé includes appointments as principal bass with the Symphonic Orchestra of the State of Mexico in Toluca, Mexico, assistant principal bass with the Oregon Symphony in Portland, Oregon, and in the Symphonic Orchestra of Seville, Spain.
She has played in orchestras backing up Kenny Rogers, Scott Hamilton, Kenny Loggins, Roger Daltry, Luciano Pavarotti, Jewel, Dennis DeYoung, the Three Tenors, Andrea Bocelli and the Moody Blues.
Ann has taught music at public and private institutions throughout Northeast Ohio. She currently plays principal bass with the Akron Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, the Blue Water Chamber Orchestra and is a member of the Firelands Symphony.
