Annie Schwarz comes to The Music Settlement with nearly 15 years of development and marketing & communications experience, mainly in the non-profit sector. Prior to joining TMS, Annie excelled in several positions – each with increasing scope and responsibility – within the Development & Public Affairs department at Case Western Reserve University’s School of Law, advancing several times during her 8 ½ year tenure with the university. She began her career at the law school in a marketing & communications role, then quickly rose from the assistant director of alumni relations & special events to the associate director, director, and senior director of alumni relations & development. Most recently, she served as Senior Director of Development & Public Affairs, where she was responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive giving program, including individual major, planned, and special gifts to the School of Law as part of a $42M capital campaign.
Prior to joining the law school, Annie served in several marketing and sales positions as the director of marketing & communications for the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers' Association (GCADA), manager of marketing & communications for the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission (GCSC), account executive for IMG (International Management Group), and marketing intern for Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Annie is a graduate of John Carroll University. She comes from a large family of native Clevelanders, all of whom are avid sports fans (Cleveland teams, of course). She lives in South Euclid with her husband, Adam and two young children who both have a love for music.
