Bridget Davis Petitti began her musical career here in Cleveland, Ohio. While in high school, she sang with the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus, and began playing with local musicians and bands.
Bridget was accepted as a scholarship student to the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami in Florida. In addition to becoming an in-demand freelance musician in the South Florida music scene, Bridget performed for 2 years in the Downbeat Award winning JV1 ensemble, Salsa ensemble and Extensions Ensemble, and became involved with the Creative American Music program. She is a two time winner of the Bruce Hornsby Songwriting contest. Bridget received a BM in Jazz Vocal Performance from the Frost School.
Following her graduation in 2010, Bridget moved to New York City. Upon her arrival, Bridget founded Bridget Davis and the Viking Kings, a group that has released 3 albums to date with critical acclaim. Two songs "Little Sister" and "Trouble Comes in Threes", were featured in the movie "See You in Valhalla"(2014). The group had residencies at Rockwood Music Hall, The Living Room, and Pete's Candy Store among others.
As a teacher in the New York City area, Bridget kept a private lessons studio and taught at Mark Murphy’s Music in South Orange, New Jersey from 2012-2018.
In the Fall of 2018, Bridget relocated to Cleveland, Ohio area with her husband Sam Petitti. Bridget will be releasing her fourth Viking Kings album in early 2019.
