Eric Richmond received his undergraduate music education degree from The Ohio State University and his Master of Arts from Case Western Reserve University. He has also taught music in the Cleveland Municipal Schools, East Cleveland City Schools and the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Schools Districts. In addition, he was instrumental music instructor for the REACH program at University School in Hunting Valley, Ohio. Eric has performanced with Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra, The Sounds of Sousa Band, The Allegheny Summer Music Festival with Clark Terry, and the Suburban Symphony Orchestra. Eric has performed at the Place, Ohio and State Theaters with soul music artists such as Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, The Temptations, The Four Tops and The Dells. Also, he has performed with Broadway legends such as Mitzi Gaynor and Diane Carol.
Presently, he is on staff at The Music Settlement as the low brass instructor and serves as brass/woodwind department chairman. He is a regular guest lecturer at Kent State University’s music education department. As member of local of the American Federation of Musician continues freelance playing the euphonium and the trombone.
