The Music Settlement has karma on its side, and it goes by the names Anita Nonneman and Ron Busch. The co-owners of the former Cleveland Bop Stop jazz club donated the vacant Ohio City building to the Music Settlement, which offers music education and music therapy to thousands through its University Circle campus. The Bop Stop reopened as a part of the school in July and hosts a concert by Jazz Heritage Orchestra Aug. 22 and 23. The 4,100-square-foot location features a new ensemble rehearsal space and a performance venue with a kitchen and full bar. "After 100 years, it's nice to have an organization suddenly become young again," says Charles Lawrence, president of the Music Settlement. "It's like we've been reborn." 2920 Detroit Ave., Cleveland, 216-771-6551, TheMusicSettlement.org
