The Music Settlement launches culinary partnership with Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry (LMM)

BOP STOP kitchen will provide experience to LMM clients

Cleveland, Ohio (April 26, 2022) – The Music Settlement recently launched a partnership between its BOP STOP kitchen and Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry (LMM). LMM, a social services and advocacy nonprofit, will manage the BOP STOP kitchen, allowing their clients to learn kitchen management and safety through LMM’s culinary program. In return, BOP STOP will have kitchen staff on-hand to prepare and serve food during performances.

“We are so excited to support LMM’s mission through our new partnership with BOP STOP,” said Gabe Pollack, Director of the BOP STOP. “The Music Settlement is always looking for new ways we can collaborate with local partners who share our commitment to building healthy, thriving communities around Cleveland.”

Metro45 is a culinary social enterprise of LMM that provides life-changing services to those most in need through feeding the homeless and offering job training to individuals who are facing barriers to employment. More information can be found at www.metro45.com and www.lutheranmetro.org.

“This partnership will allow LMM to expand the opportunities for job training in the field of culinary arts,” said Ian Marks, Vice President of Workforce Development at LMM. “Many of our clients who face employment barriers are an untapped part of the workforce and companies would be lucky to have our students upon graduation. BOP STOP is a chance to keep learning and preparing for the industry where they will be able to use the experience to make a living wage and overcome those roadblocks.”
