Who We Serve

Who We Serve

The Music Settlement understands the great duty and importance to serve the diverse and extraordinary Cleveland community and the music and arts community altogether.

Our work to bring unique Music programming, creative Early Childhood curriculum, and innovative, research-based Music Therapy is the core of what TMS was built on, with the mission to inspire and welcome all to our music and arts community to learn, create, celebrate and heal. But it is our Cleveland community that is our heart. TMS will continue to evaluate the best ways to listen, support, and grow to meet the evolving needs of our communities.

Regardless of age, background, artistic ability, or economic circumstance, we are improving the quality of life for all those we serve and building healthy, thriving communities. Our historic east side campus in University Circle and beautiful campus in Cleveland's west side Ohio City neighborhood both offer year-round enrollment and a generous financial assistance program.

Our programs are delivered by exceptional faculty and music therapists in an environment that nurtures individual achievement and creativity, affording students and clients the opportunity to reach their full potential while developing a lifelong love of the arts.

Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA)

The IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility) Committee exists at TMS to ensure continuing progress is made toward our unique equity and diversity initiatives. We understand this work is a lifelong learning journey, and we are committed to learning together.

IDEA Committee's North Star

The Music Settlement will lead, uphold and uplift the values of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA), as reflected in our activities, our board members, staff, faculty, volunteers, students and clients. This commitment will serve and strengthen our entire community, where culture, race, age, sexual orientation, and gender identity are celebrated, and physical abilities, skill level and ability to pay are not barriers.
