Classification: Part time, as needed. Nonexempt.
Compensation: $27.50/hr.
Primary Purpose:
The Music Settlement seeks quaified accompanists for the Center for Music. The individuals will provide piano accompaniment for student lessons, rehearsals, and recitals, supporting Center for Music faculty and students during instructional and performance activities.
Reports to: Chair, Center for Music
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Part time availability during the desired days and times that services are needed, for piano accompaniment at The Music Settlement locations for the school’s students. Operations are Monday through Thursday, 9 am - 9 pm, Friday, 9 am - 8 pm, and Saturday 9 am to 5 pm. Occasional special events on Sundays. Punctuality, dependability and responsiveness to TMS communications and requests for accompaniment services will be expected.
To provide piano accompaniment for lessons, rehearsals and performances as needed, of varied length and frequency. Some assignments are for regularly-scheduled (weekly) lessons, and others are for one time events. Accompanists work on an as-needed basis.

Educational Requirements:
Preferred: Completion of undergraduate degree for relevant major, such as collaborative piano, piano performance, or other music instruction degree. Will consider: Students currently enrolled in an accredited college/university course of study with necessary piano mastery, collaborative experience and references.
