Gayle Burdick, MT-BC is a Board Certified Music Therapist. She received her undergraduate degree from Ohio University. She holds a Masters of Education in Instruction and Curriculum as well as being licensed in Early Intervention and Special Education. Gayle took lessons at The Music Settlement as a child and came to work in the Department of Music Therapy from 1977-1982 as a staff music therapist and intern supervisor. She then worked for the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities as a music therapist and developmental specialist for 32 years, working with children and toddlers with a variety of disabilities. She has presented at regional and national conferences. Gayle has returned to The Music Settlement to work part time.

She began working at The Music Settlement in 2006. On site at The Music Settlement, she currently serves clients with diagnosis such as autism, MR/DD, or mood disorders. She is also contracted by the Salvation Army to serve several populations such as women and men living in sheltered or transitional housing; individuals reintegrating to the community from forensic or drug and alcohol rehabilitation. She is a member of AMTA and AOMT.

Pat Eden, MT-BC, is a Board-Certified music therapist. She first joined the staff of The Music Settlement following completion of her internship here in 1981 and remained through 1989. Upon returning in 1995, Pat has served a variety of individuals and groups in the Center for Music Therapy along with many partner agencies. She currently sees individuals on site at The Music Settlement and provides music therapy services to MetroHealth Medical Center Burn Unit, Eliza Bryant Village, and Solon Center for the Arts. A member of the American Music Therapy Association and graduate of the University of Dayton, Pat has been a practicing music therapist for 29 years.

<p>Hannah Gadzinski, MT-BC is a Board Certified Music Therapist. She graduated from Baldwin Wallace University in 2015 and is currently pursuing her Master of Music Therapy at Augsburg College. Hannah completed her music therapy internship at Seasons Hospice in Massachusetts, where she worked with individuals in hospice and pediatric palliative care. While in Boston, she received training in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT). Hannah moved back to the Cleveland area after her internship and began her career working for Beyond Words Music and Dance Center. Megan McCausland, MT-BC is a Board Certified Music Therapist. She graduated from the University of Dayton in 2012 and began her professional career in Oswego, Illinois. Being a native of Cleveland, she returned and began working at The Music Settlement in November 2014. Megan currently serves off site populations including geriatric, drug addiction rehabilitation, memory support, and mental health at Lutheran Hospital. She also serves a senior wellness group at May Dugan Center in Ohio City. On site at The Music Settlement she provides individual music therapy for adults, teens, and children with diagnoses such as autism, developmental disabilities, spina bifida, and mood disorders.

Megan now also serves as the Internship and Student Coordinator in the Center for Music Therapy at The Music Settlement. In this role, she coordinates all volunteers and observers on site and at outreach agencies. She will also serve as the music therapy internship coordinator to facilitate the national roster internship program. She is a member of the American Music Therapy Association.

Anne Reed, MT-BC is a Board Certified Music Therapist and is currently the Interim Chair for the Center. She graduated from Baldwin Wallace College in 1988. Anne joined the music therapy department at The Music Settlement in 1989, where she served as a staff music therapist, staff supervisor, and internship supervisor. In 2005, Anne left TMS and accepted a position with Beech Brook, where she served as the Music Therapy Program Manager for nine years, overseeing the research conducted at the agency with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma and demonstrated severe emotional disturbances and attachment issues. In October of 2014, Anne returned to The Music Settlement. She became the Clinical Director at the agency in August of 2016. Aside from her administrative responsibilities, she conducts individual music therapy sessions with children and adults having multiple disabilities such as attention deficit disorder, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, epilepsy, apraxia of speech, and autism. Anne has co-authored articles in the Journal of Music Therapy and other journals. Anne has presented at regional and national music therapy conferences, an international conference on conflict resolution at Cuyahoga Community College, and for the Adoption Network of Greater Cleveland. She has co-presented on the topics of music therapy and abuse recovery and attachment issues for undergraduate music therapy students and graduate social work students at local and state universities. Anne completed her Neurologic Music Therapy training in 2000 and received her second Fellowship in October of 2017 from The Robert F. Unkefer Academy for Neurologic Music Therapy.

Katie is thrilled to be working in the Cleveland area after living out of state for 5 years. She received her bachelors in Music Therapy from Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music and her Masters in Music Therapy from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. She has been working as a music therapist since graduating from BW in 2012. She has worked around the country in Washington state, Texas, and Illinois. Her primary experience is working as a music therapist in psychiatric settings. She most recently gained experience working as a music therapist in hospice. With a background in musical theatre, Katie utilizes her strengths as a vocalist in her clinical work often, in addition to piano, guitar, and percussion.
