This four-part lecture series for adults will cover the origins, features, and notable artists for each style of jazz music. Our host for the series is John Simna, JazzNeo programmer and WCLV Music Director.

Accounting’s loss is classical and jazz radio’s gain. John Simna left the spreadsheets behind for a position with WCLV in 1973. Since then, he has hosted variety of programs, including Jazz Comes to WCLV. Currently the host of Symphony at Seven and weekend jazz, John also performs as a bass trombonist for Swing City and leads a brass sextet. In addition, John formerly taught jazz history as part of the J@MS Program at The Music Settlement.
