Kids and young teens with disabilities who want to be with others can practice and learn new social skills while sharing and making music together. The program includes warm ups, singing, dancing, and musical games. Also, the participants are taught music vocabulary, drama skills, and how to be on stage. Group members learn to talk with others, stay with the group, follow directions, and share ideas. Each member will have the chance to do a solo in addition to performing with the group. Those new to The Music Settlement need to come to a group assessment/ meet and greet before being accepted into the program.
