Popular Guitar Club
Ages: 10-13
Session Length: 15 Weeks
Skill Level: Beginner
Learn the basics of guitar playing in this free small group course.
In this small group course, students will learn the basics of guitar playing from plucking open strings to fretting chords. Students will learn songs from a range of genres, including pop, rock, and the blues. No previous experience is necessary.
For those in need of an instrument, TMS will provide a guitar for class sessions and for at-home use while enrolled in the course.
Note: The spring semester is a repeat of the fall semester curriculum. Students who have previously participated in Popular Guitar Club are not eligible to repeat the course, but are encouraged to consider private guitar lessons for continued instruction.

Luke Pernici is a local musician who has played in a variety of bands in and around Cleveland, including ET King and the Determination, Liz Bullock and the Tremonts, GROUP and others. While his primary instrument is guitar, he also plays bass, piano, drums, ukulele, and has been known to sing (sometimes). He has taught a variety of students over the seven years he's been active in the music scene, and utilizes these skills to give students an enjoyable, informative experience. He caters his lessons to the way a student learns best, and tries to indulge their tastes, while also injecting music that he thinks is important.
