Bach Bartók Beatles

February 15 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm

What IS music? Well, if you were cooking "music," you would need only three ingredients: rhythm, harmony, and color. This program compares and contrasts famous works by great masters of different eras and genres: J. S. Bach, Bela Bartok, and the Beatles. We'll explore in words and examples how just three basic elements can describe the full range of human emotion. Katherine Bormann and Isabel Trautwein, violins, Sonja Braaten Molloy, viola, and Tanya Ell, cello. Venue: historic Midtown photography studio
