The Eddie Brookshire Quintet is all about the truth and energy. Eddie’s musical ensemble can best be described as a neo, post bop, contemporary, high energy enclave. Their music consists primarily of originally composed songs and features musicians uniquely positioned to influence the direction of
jazz. The quintet features the solid Fenton Sparks on drum kit, powerful Dr. Gary Onady on trumpet and flugelhorn, the transcendent Keigo Hirakawa on piano, the fluid Jack Novotny on tenor and soprano saxophone, flute, and bass clarinet, and the venerable leader of EBQ, Eddie Brookshire on
acoustic bass.
