Patchwork
Mutually interested in exploring a wide range of contemporary genres, Noa Even and Stephen Klunk formed Patchwork, a saxophone and drum set duo that collaborates with composers to build an eclectic body of new music. Patchwork has appeared in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, New York City, at the 2014 North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference and at Bowling Green State University's New Music Festival in 2013. This season, the duo is performing a new program and doing composer readings at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati and Ball State University. They also have upcoming shows at Washington University in St. Louis and in Pittsburgh as guest artists on Alia Musica’s concert season. Patchwork’s 2014-2015 program features new works by Jason Charney, Dan Tramte, Nick Didkovsky, and Monte Weber. Noa and Stephen are also in the midst of heading a consortium project with composer Eric Wubbels to be premiered next fall.

Netmoire
"...an impressive morphing process as the band blends harmonically aggressive sax lines with distorted drum samples and a big, abstract selection of crackling electronic noise."-Tone Madison
Netmoiré is an improvisational trio featuring Jason Charney (computer), Josh Simmons (computer), and Nick Zoulek (saxophones). The trio came together while pursuing graduate studies at Bowling Green State University, and bonded over a shared passion for improvisation. Searching for the overlaid patterns found through improvisational networking, Netmoiré creates an energetic, abstract, and mercurial experience that blends the avant-garde with electronic, beat-driven music. Their influences and inspirations include Death Grips, Colin Stetson, J Dilla, Tim Hecker, Evan Parker, Ben Frost, and most importantly, an affinity for chaotic sound.
