The Almeda Trio will be presenting a program with a broad embrace of life's joys and sorrows:
- a new work by Cleveland composer Steve Stanziano, On the Threshold of Spring
- the very first "numbered" work by Beethoven, his Opus 1, Number 1, composed in 1794,when Beethoven was the hottest pianist in Vienna and eager to show the public what he was made of as a composer.
- Shostakovich's Trio No. 2 in E Minor, written in 1944 in the midst of World War II --a monumental personal testimony of loss.
