Laurel Weir (soprano) is a graduate student at the Cleveland Institute of Music studying with Vinson Cole. Ms. Weir is from Canton, Ohio where she graduated cum laude from Malone University. While at Malone she studied with Cynthia Wohlschlager. In December of 2012, Ms. Weir made her opera debut performing the lead role of the Mother in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors. As a member of Malone Opera Theatre, she performed in various opera scenes from Der Rosenkavalier, Rusalka, Norma, La Traviata and L'elisir d'amore. November 2013, she performed the role of First Lady in CIM’s production of Die Zauberflöte. Her musical studies have taken her to Germany, Austria, Italy, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. In 2013, she placed first among all Ohio singers in the Tuesday Musical Scholarship Competition. Tuesday Musical judge, Dr. J.D. Goddard described Ms. Weir’s performance as, “So powerful, yet sumptuous and deliciously Romantic." That same year, she presented a recital in the Marble Concert Hall in Salzburg, Austria as a winner of the Schloss Mirabell Competition.
Andrew Rosenblum graduated in May 2014 with a Masters in Collaborative Piano and Harpsichord from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied with Anita Pontremoli and Peter Bennett. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Piano Performance in 2011, under the instruction of Liam Viney. He currently works as a Staff Pianist at the Cleveland Institute of Music, a substitute rehearsal pianist for the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, and a freelance accompanist in the Cleveland area. Andrew has appeared as a harpsichord soloist with the Case/CIM Baroque Orchestra and a piano soloist with the CalArts Orchestra. He has performed internationally, in Canada, Mexico and St. Lucia and has accompanied singers at the Kennedy Center and Alice Tully Hall. In 2014, he was awarded the Rosa Lobe Collaborative Piano Award from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
