Sam Hooper Group has opened for blues guitar legends Ronnie Earl and Luther “Guitar Jr.” Johnson and showcased at New York’s Soul of the Blues Festival and Alabama’s W. C. Handy Music Festival. After many years in Boston and Los Angles, Hooper recently moved back to his hometown roots in Cleveland, OH. In 2014 he entertained all over Northeast Ohio with Vince Robinson & the Jazz Poets, Gaetano Letizia’s Underworld Blues Band, and Duffy Liturgical Dance Ensemble, among others. He’s performed at Nighttown, Rockefellers, The Cleveland Cultural Festival, Peabody’s, Westwood Country Club and several churches in the area.
