Please join us a saxophonist, Tom Tallitsch leads his trio at the BOP STOP. His ensemble features grammy nominated organist, Brian Charette, and Brooklyn based drummer Jordan Young. The band will be performing standards and music off of Tom's new album "All Together Now" which was released on Posi-Tone Records in April 2015.
Tom Tallitsch is a Saxophonist, Composer, Posi-Tone Recording Artist, Music Educator, and Host of ‘The Modern Jazz Radio Show’ from NYC.
He performs at jazz clubs and venues in and around New York including, Smalls Jazz Club, The 55 Bar, Smoke, Cornelia Street Cafe, The Garage, Bar Next Door, The Side Door, Showmans, Chris' Jazz Cafe, and more. He regularly performs at venues up and down the east coast, and tours throughout the United States.
Tom's 6th album as a leader (All Together Now - Posi-Tone Records 3/15), features his own compositions with a stellar lineup of NY friends and recording artists in a sextet setting. Mike Dirubbo (Alto), Tom Tallitsch (Tenor), Michael Dease (Trombone), Brian Charette (Piano/Hammond B3), Peter Brendler (Bass), Mark Ferber (Drums).
His previous five albums on Posi-Tone Records and Origin Records have received critical acclaim in Downbeat Magazine, The New York Jazz Record, and Jazz Times to name a few. They continue to be on national and international radio and internet playlists.
In addition to having his compositions and arrangements played by vocalists and musicians throughout New York and Philadelphia, Tom has had his works performed by individual dancers from the Martha Graham Dance Company at various choreographer showcase venues. He is musical director, and composer for the multi-media dance company Big Sky Project, founded by his wife Carrie Ellmore-Tallitsch.
