"Blu Monsoon – the freshest, most original band in Ohio - is a group of talented, award-winning, college musicians who have come together to create a band dedicated to creating original music that has broad appeal without being cliché. Blu Monsoon was formed in early 2012 after the demise of a local cover band that included Mike Schirch(keys) and Jeff Jeric(bass). They immediately sought out Adam Hradisky(drums) who played with them in the Brecksville High School jazz band. Much of 2012 was spent writing, practicing, and making their first recording, At 21 and Daisy. In 2013 they released their second album, Hot Tub Maintenance, which is available at gigs, by mail, iTunes and CD Baby. In April 2015 Chase Ockuly joined on guitar when they play as a quartet and is scheduled to play at this show. In addition to their original music, they bring their unique style to classics such as "Fly me to the Moon", "Autumn Leaves", "The Chicken" and "Birdland".
