The Gruca White Ensemble, an Ensemble in Residence at The Music Settlement, presents a diverse program of music based on folk idioms from the Balkans, Romania, Israel and Japan. Composers include Dusan Bogdanovic, Bela Bartok, Carl Dimow and Masamitu Takahashi. This classical guitar and flute duo is known for their unique programming which includes their own arrangements of rock and jazz tunes and impromptus...improvised jams in a variety of styles. With each concert, a new experience unfolds which will take your ears and your imagination on a unique ride.
