From 2000 to present, writer RA Washington has been making music under various monikers and groups - from the free jazz of the trio Vernacular (Lawrence Daniel Caswell + Chris Kulcsar), to the soul punk of Mourning [A] BLKstar. To the blue punk of CRAVE and Madame and The Moist Towelettes to solo led projects like New Surah Orchestar, Leroi Da Moor and Whisper Committee. Collaboration has always been at the heart of these projects whether it was tapes with Delo Fi and Muamin Collective producer, aLIVE. At the heart of it all has been this dedication to making. In celebration of 16 years of production and over 20 different releases - Washington has agreed to bring together all the players in a one night only concert to benefit Cleveland Books 2 Prisoners.
