The Neil Chastain Trio bridges the gap between DJs and live music by tapping into the crates of rare groove vinyl collectors for a repertoire of classic funk, soul and Latin music. Consisting of guitarist/vocalist Mike McNamara, bassist Bill Nichols and percussionist/drummer Neil Chastain, the trio stretches out on tunes by artists like Willie Bobo, Grant Green and Cal Tjader to name a few.
Over the past years, the Trio has provided instrumental backing for hip hop and electronic soul artists such as Muamin Collective, Daz-I-Kue (Bugz In The Attic), Erik Rico and Cecelia Stalin (Koop).
