Gabriel’s Horns® is a 21-piece not-for-profit community jazz-praise big band whose members include professional and amateur musicians, music educators and talented youth. Under the direction of Bandleader James T. May, Jr., the band has performed at Severance Hall MLK Celebration Concert, Cleveland State University Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival, Cleveland Ingenuity Festivals, The House of Blues, Cleveland Tall Ship Festival, Cuyahoga County Fair, The Cleveland Museum of Art, worship centers, community festivals and opened for Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes.
Gabriel’s Horns® has featured local and world renowned jazz artists and vocalists such as Ron Davis, Maria Jacobs, Gospel Singer Kelly Chapman, pianist Jackie Warren, Eddie Baccus Sr, Eddie Baccus Jr., Tenor Saxophonist Jim Noel, Chris Coles, Nathan Davis, Johnny Cochran, Trumpeter Dennis Reynolds, Melvin Burks, Joe Trczinski, Doug James, Bassist Jesse Dandy Jr., Glenn Holmes, Percussionist Bill Ransom, Ralph Jackson, Neil Chastain, Trombonist/Composer Dick Wooley and Chris Anderson.
