Reclamation Band was formed from the idea of making instrumental music with a wide appeal. Having earned a Master's of Music Composition at Chicago's DePaul University in 2007, Martinez's songs feature a strong sense of melody to tell a story and serve as vehicles for improvisation. Sacrificing neither groove nor complexity; it is original music from the heart.
