FATS Trumpet Quartet: Dennis Reynolds' Birthday Bash @ BOP STOP

The FATS Trumpet Quartet invites you to celebrate the birthday of Cleveland's own, Dennis Reynolds! The band will be performing arrangements of classic jazz trumpet repertoire. If you bring your horn you may be one of the lucky few who is randomly asked to sit in!
FATS combines four of the greatest trumpet players in the Midwest with a homegrown rhythm sections.
This all star ensemble features:

- Glenn Holmes, Bass
Dennis Bradley Reynolds, a former lead trumpet player with the Count Basie Band directed by Frank Foster, a former member of the Lionel Hampton orchestra and a former lead trumpeter with the Clark Terry Big Band. Mr. Reynolds has performed with such stars as Dizzy Gillespie, Steve Lawrence and Edie Gorme, Rita Moreno, Patti Austin, Roberta Flack, Rosemary Clooney and Ella Fitzgerald. A resident of Warren, Ohio, Dennis has assembled this group of artists who make up the Jazz Heritage Orchestra not only because they are excellent performers and teachers, but also for their ability to relate to young people and to serve as role models. Reynolds is a graduate of the Lamont School of Music.
