James Alexander And Blues Legacy @ BOP STOP

We invite you for a wonderful evening of jazz as we host the debut performance of James Alexander And Blues Legacy which features Dan Wasson on bass and Eric "EJ" Johnson on guitar.
James Alexander II is an independent jazz drummer based in Painesville, Ohio. He resided in New York City from 2004-2013 where he worked as a sideman for many jazz artists and functioned as the bandleader of his organ trios and quartets. He has shared the stage with many notable jazz musicians including: Roy Hargrove, Lou Donaldson, Anthony Wonsey ,Wessel Anderson, Russel Malone, Curtis Lundy and Wycliffe Gordon. In 2012 he released his debut CD, Grace & Peace on Gordon's Blues Back Record label. James now instructs at Cuyahoga Community College and The Paul Green School Of Rock in Cleveland Ohio. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from The Oberlin Conservatory of Music and a Master of Arts degree in Jazz Studies from The Aaron Copeland School of Music at Queens College.
