The Silver Keys @ BOP STOP

In 2012, Bill Meyer, a clarinetist and retired Cleveland elementary school music teacher, had a dream to create a professional quality clarinet ensemble. Bill was struck with inspiration from the name of a rising popular group, The Black Keys, of nearby Akron, and The Silver Keys were born. Five years later, now featuring Lindsay Charnofsky, Emily Lada, Alix Reinhardt, and Bill, The Silver Keys are performing regularly at North Collinwood's and Waterloo Arts popular Music for Miles concert series. The ensemble usually performs as a quartet and the group takes pride in diverse musical performances.
For the BOP STOP show, The Silver Keys will offer selections weaving together the worlds of jazz, pop, klezmer, film, theater, classical, dance, and rock 'n' roll. Some examples of what the band will be playing are Gershwin's "Summertime", Bernstein's "America", Piazolla's "Libertango", Brahms' "Hungarian Dance No.5", and "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen.
