After last year's sell out performance, don't miss your chance to enjoy a wonderful evening of blues, jazz, jazz-praise and classic big band music featuring vocalists Ron Davis and Sabra Dodge as well as special jazz artists trumpeter Mark Russo and pianist Jonathan Hooper.
Gabriel’s Horns® is a 21–piece not-for-profit community jazz-praise big band. Members include professional and amateur musicians, music educators and talented youth under the direction of Bandleader James T. May Jr. The band has a rich history of local performances including Severance Hall’s MLK Celebration Concert, Cleveland State University’s Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival, Cleveland Ingenuity Festivals, The House of Blues, Cleveland’s Tall Ship Festival, the Cuyahoga County Fair, The Cleveland Museum of Art, worship centers, community festivals and opening for Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes.
Gabriel’s Horns® has featured local and world renowned jazz artists and vocalists such as Ron Davis, Maria Jacobs, gospel singer Kelly Chapman; pianists Jackie Warren, Eddie Baccus Sr., Eddie Baccus Jr.; tenor saxophonists Jim Noel, Chris Coles, Nathan Davis, Johnny Cochran; trumpeters Dennis Reynolds, Melvin Burkes, Joe Trczinski, Doug James; bassists Jesse Dandy Jr., Glenn Holmes; percussionists Bill Ransom, Ralph Jackon, Neil Chastain; and trombonists/composers Dick Wooley and Chris Anderson.
Tickets are $15 advance and $20 at the door.
