About the music:
Cleveland-based Ogni Suono presents SaxoVoce, a long-term project exploring the wide-ranging musical, dramatic, and theatrical possibilities inherent in the synthesis of saxophone and voice. From storytelling to nonsensical shouts, each composer of this evening’s program uniquely integrates the human voice.

Kate Soper | Ototoi (2015)
Erin Rogers | Clamor (2016)
Formed by saxophonists Noa Even and Phil Pierick in 2009, Ogni Suono is committed to expanding and promoting repertoire for saxophone duo by collaborating with composers and performing new works. They have toured Europe, Southeast Asia, and the United States offering performances, master classes, clinics, and outreach programs.
Praised as “beautiful harmonies singing in contrast to mysterious knockings and hums, and finally to ungodly, soul-shattering blasts” (Shepherd Express), Nick Zoulek harnesses the sound of bass, tenor, and alto saxophone in this special preview of his upcoming project, _Enter|Branch_
"...Mr. Zoulek’s performance, on saxophones in every range, is stunningly virtuosic, whatever the genre." (The Wall Street Journal). A modern saxophonist of "pure mindfulness and talent," (PopMatters), Nick's focus on performance, collaboration, new media, and improvisation, has led to a diverse portfolio of distinctive artistic ventures, performing across France, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. Nick’s music can be heard on Rushing Past Willow (INNOVA Records), which fuses all of facets of his work through self-composed pieces for alto, tenor, and bass saxophone.
