Genaro Aiken Quintet: The Music of Dexter Gordon @ BOP STOP

We welcome you to join us for a celebration of Dexter Gordon’s life and his contributions to jazz led by Cleveland’s own, Genaro Aiken.
Saxophonist Genaro Aiken is a native of Cleveland that graduated from Cleveland Heights High school. While in High School, he studied in the renown jazz studies program at Tri-C in Cleveland. After High School he continued to study at Tri-C. He regularly plays with Ernie Krivda and has been in bands including Inspire One. His style is strongly rooted in the traditions of jazz but borrows from Hip-hop, Salsa, and Brazilian music. He has studied with Ralph Moore, Dave Sterner, Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, and Ernie Krivda.
The quintet will feature:
