…for the sake of a narrative closure. A new opera for 6 sopranos and electronics.
A new opera for 6 sopranos and electronics with music and libretto by Sean Ellis Hussey (BW Alumnus) Presented as the 400-level Voice Performance Workshop capstone project, this award-winning new chamber opera grapples with conflicting motivations of authenticity, social justice, tradition, and “art as entertainment.”
Members of the 200-level Workshop will open the evening with a cabaret performance of French art songs (approx 30 min.)
The performance of the new opera (approx. 20min. run-time) will follow, proceeded by a talkback session with the cast and composer.
