An Active Adult Choir for Adults 55 and Older
September 13 from 10:30am - 12:00pm
The Settlement Singers is a co-ed ensemble for active adults 55 and older who are interested in expressing themselves through music. Designed to foster a creative and social experience, participants will practice breathing and vocal techniques, gain performance skills, learn to read rhythms and pitch patterns, and memorize text and music. The course will culminate in a celebratory performance for friends, family, and the community.
The ensemble will be directed by Kim Lauritsen, Department Head -- Voice. A $35 materials fee is required to participate. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
To register for the ensemble, please call 216-421-5806 or visit TheMusicSettlement.org.
The Settlement Singers is a Catalyzing Creative Aging Program. The 2017-2018 Catalyzing Creative Aging Program, led by the National Guild for Community Arts Education in partnership with Lifetime Arts, was funded by Aroha Philanthropies, Music Man Foundation, and the Moca Foundation.
