At this year’s Ohio Independent Film Festival, attendees will be treated to some of the best undiscovered independent cinema from around the world.

Moviegoers will be able to experience features, short films, and even live music as a part of this year’s festival One Night Only, which will be held on November 3rd at The Bop Stop. And for the first time ever, attendees will also get access to a very special ‘Members Only’ section of OIFF’s website that will connect them with other film lovers from around the world. ”We wanted to extend the experience beyond just a one day film festival,” said Board President Therese Grida.”Now, attendees will be able to meet other independent film lovers online to get film recommendations, see what’s going on behind the scenes, and support the causes and filmmakers that they care about.”

The showcase of this year’s festival is feature film CROWN AND ANCHOR, the emotional story of two damaged brothers who are forced to face their family’s heinous past. Well known Cleveland filmmaker Robert Banks will be host and an awards presenter at the festival. The event will also feature live music from another Cleveland favorite, Brent Kirby. The ticket price includes a curated selection of feature films and blocks of short films from around the world. In addition, there will be a free pre-festival party on November 2nd with music from Kirby and a small selection of short films. Brent Kirby’s been called by many of his peers one of Cleveland’s hardest working musicians. Brent was voted “Best Singer” and also “Best Male Vocal” in 2013 by the Cleveland Scene, and 2012, he was voted “Best Musician”.
