Travelin' Troubadours Featuring Diana Chittester, Brent Kirby and Jill Jack @ BOP STOP

Travelin' Troubadours brings together three singer-songwriters to share one stage, swapping songs and stories influenced by personal experience, touring, and digs deep into their music making process. Cleveland-based musician Diana Chittester invites one Ohio-based songwriter, and one artist she’s met while on the road to join her for an intimate evening of music and storytelling. Featuring:

  • Diana Chittester (Cleveland)
  • Brent Kirby (Cleveland)
  • Jill Jack (Detroit)

Diana Chittester:Diana Chittester stands on stage with an arsenal of acoustic guitars. Her show is brought to life with signature percussive multi-part playing, mimicking a full band on a solo acoustic guitar without the use of gadgets or a looper. She blends her intricate finger-picking guitar style with intelligent and articulate lyrics. The personal stories and vulnerability she shares on stage resonate with audiences as she invites them along on her journey. Music Connection Magazine noted her “intelligent and articulate lyrics," dubbed a “Guitar God” by Skinny Devil Magazine and “a complex guitar acrobat” by ArtVoice Magazine. In 2017 she was invited to perform on the "Cellar Sessions" series recorded live at City Winery in NYC. Diana tours regularly in the US and Canada including folk-rock venues such as The Ark, Music Box Supper Club, Rockwood Music Hall and Performing Arts Centers across the Midwest. Her latest album is Paradox, which is available now. YouTube: https://youtu.be/TTupE-91oXg

Brent Kirby:
Brent Kirby’s been called by many of his peers one of Cleveland’s hardest working musicians. Brent was voted “Best Singer” and also “Best Male Vocal” in 2013 by the Cleveland Scene, and 2012, he was voted “Best Musician”. When he is not playing solo or with his band, he writes the tunes and fronts the Jack Fords (2007, 2009 Best Rock Band Cleveland Scene), leads the monthly revival of Gram Parsons with his band The New Soft Shoe, and plays drums for the talented Cleveland holiday band, the Ohio City Singers. His 10 x 3 Songwriter showcase weekly series at Brothers Lounge has created an encouraging, vibrant original music scene. YouTube: https://youtu.be/SKsAnT2SQjg

Jill Jack: Jill began her professional career singing backup with well known Detroit country and rock bands. By the late 90s she was writing constantly, fronting her own band and beginning to open for what would become a long list of prominent touring acts -- Bob Seger, John Waite, Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, Dan Fogelberg, Marshall Crenshaw, Chris Issak, and Loretta Lynn. As well she developed her reputation as headliner at venues & festivals -- SXSW (South by Southwest), Ann Arbor Folk Festival, 30A Songwriters Festival, WYCD Downtown Hoedown, Blissfest Music Festival, The Bluebird Café, The Living Room in NYC, and consistent sell-out shows at the historical Ark in Ann Arbor, MI. Regional touring has branched to successful tours of England and all over America. Jill was also a finalist in the Susanne Millsaps Performing Songwriter Showcase, and was chosen as an Americana semifinalist in the International Songwriting Competition for Fallen (A Love Song). Jack now has 12 Award winning CD’s to her name. YouTube: https://youtu.be/jKNPJptym8s
