BOP STOP
BOP STOP at The Music Settlement is Cleveland's premier listening room: an intimate, acoustically pristine performance venue with sweeping views of Lake Erie.
July 27 from 8:00pm - 10:30pm
Multi-faceted & expressive Cleveland-based saxophonist, Nathan Paul Davis, returns to BOP STOP with an exciting all-new group, Triumverate, which features Theron Brown on Hammond B3 Organ and Zaire Darden on drums!
“Deep grooves, strong, singable, soulful melodies, uncommon forms, an unwavering desire to dance, sounds that carry you to a distant memory,” would be one way to describe Nathan-Paul’s music. From his funky soul group, The Admirables, to playing in the spirit of Ornette Coleman with the Sam Blakeslee Large Group, all the way to the high energy Latin jazz group, Ahi-Nama, Nathan-Paul is more concerned with expression than genre.
Nathan is an established Saxophone player and composer from Cleveland Heights. He went to Cleveland Heights High School and graduated from The University of Akron with a Bachelor Degree in Jazz Studies. Nathan-Paul is in the very popular Akron based soul band Wesley Bright and The Hi-Lites who have had the opportunity to open for acts such as Tower of Power, WAR, Lee Fields and have released multiple 45's.
Students from the Rick Imus Music Studio in Toronto will be opening for the band and will start performing at 7pm!
