Gabriel’s Horns® is a 21-piece not-for-profit community jazz-praise big band. Members include professional and amateur musicians, music educators and talented youth under the direction of Bandleader James T. May, Jr. The band has a rich history of local performances including Severance Hall’s MLK Celebration Concert, Cleveland State University Essentially Ellington Jazz Festival, Cleveland Ingenuity Festivals, The House of Blues, Cleveland Tall Ship Festival, Cuyahoga County Fair, The Cleveland Museum of Art, Trinity Cathedral Brown Bag Noon Concert Series, worship centers, community festivals and open for Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes.

Gabriel’s Horns® has featured local and world renowned jazz artists and vocalists such as Ron Davis, Evelyn Wright, Maria Jacobs, Sabra Dodges, Gospel Singer Kelly Chapman, Gospel Ensemble Chairo! Praise, pianist Jackie Warren, organist Eddie Baccus Sr, saxophonists Eddie Baccus Jr., Jim Noel, Chris Coles, Nathan Davis, Johnny Cochran, trumpeter Dennis Reynolds, Mark Russo, Melvin Burks, Joe Trczinski, Doug James, bassist Jesse Dandy Jr., Glenn Holmes, Don Day, percussionist Bill Ransom, Ralph Jackson, Neil Chastain, Trombonist/Composer Dick Wooley and Chris Anderson.

Daniel Spearman is a Trumpeter, Composer, Bandleader and Educator from Camden, New Jersey. Beginning at the age of 5 Daniel was captivated by music, first playing the piano then picking up the trumpet in high school. After graduating with the highest honors from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and studying under the likes of Sean Jones, Eddie Henderson and Dan Wall, Daniel has worked with The Four Tops, Ray Vega, Robin Eubanks Big Band, Sam Blakeslee Large Ensemble, The Jazz Heritage Orchestra, Curtis Taylor and many others. As a horn arranger he has worked with likes of Eric Nolan of the O'Jays and others in the Cleveland area and across the nation. Currently he serves as Trumpeter and horn arranger for Funkyard X, as well as the bandleader of SounddEVR.
