Akron's wildly popular band, Acid Cats, performs at BOP STOP for the first time in a highly anticipated debut!
The Acid Cats is a funk fusion band from Akron, Ohio that delivers a unique blend of groove, soul and improvisation that’s bound to make you stand up and move! Their energetic original compositions take listeners on a journey and emphasize the unique individual voice that each member brings to the ensemble. They have opened for and shared the stage with such incredible artists as Charlie Hunter, Snarky Puppy, The Funky Knuckles, Cory Henry and the Funk Apostles, and Chris Potter and travel regularly to Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Virginia to perform. Their aim is to deliver the full breadth of their musical self expression through spontaneous, energetic improvisation and original music to as many avenues as possible as well as to represent the home community that gave them their start in hopes that it will also benefit from their success.
