Darren Frate Group has a sound that combines world music, jazz and jazz fusion. The leader, bassist Darren Frate is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music. The groups music has been described as being reminiscent of groups like Weather Report and the Yellowjackets and they have just released their cd "Resonance" available on Spotify and itunes. The band consists of Darren Frate (Bass), Dave Kasper (Saxophone), Neil Chastain (Drums) as well as guest artists on trumpet , piano, vibes and percussion.
