 Free Student Workshop: The Scientific Method of Practicing

In this workshop for all instrumental students and teachers, Dr. Eva Mondragón, String Department Head, will discuss the steps and skills needed to optimize one's practice, which will improve consistency and help produce positive performance experiences.

By using critical thinking skills, logical reasoning, and practicing with intention, any difficult passge can be tackled and performed with ease and confidence. Student volunteers will have the opportunity to explore and refine problematic passages during the workshop.

This class is open to intermediate and advanced musicians of any instrument. The workshop will be held in Glick Recital Hall in Burke mansion at the Music Settlement and is free and open to the public.
